1. UBOS ACT
Established by the Statistics Act No. 2 of June 11, 1998, UBOS is tasked with developing and maintaining a National Statistical System. This Act ensures the collection, analysis, and publication of integrated, relevant, reliable, and timely statistical information. It also designates UBOS as the coordinating, monitoring, and supervisory body for the National Statistical System.

2. RULES ON CENSUSES AND SURVEYS 2018
In 2018, UBOS developed rules governing censuses and surveys to regulate activities related to data collection and management in Uganda. These rules aim to standardize procedures and ensure quality in statistical data handling.
